In the past two weeks, we began our polio fundraising campaign. In just that amount of time, we have already raised $1600 U.S.
towards the final eradication of this terrible disease. Pictured here is Ana Reyes Juarez, a woman to whom we gave a wheelchair last June. This smiling woman gave us permission to use her photo so that other children won't suffer as she did. In 1978, she contracted polio at the age of 2 in Chapala. She underwent numerous spinal surgeries in Mexico City and Guadalajara to lessen the contraction as she grew. We are proud to support the effort to wipe out this virus from the face of the earth!
